Welcome to Our Website

The Trustees of Newcastle Staffs. Volleyball Club are delighted to invite parents of all junior players to a parents' information evening to kick-off the season! We are aware that Volleyball is not a sport that many of you will know a great deal about so we want to help you get to know more about the sport, how young people can progress and enjoy it - and how the club strives to make this possible.

Come and join us on FRIDAY 23rd SEPTEMBER, 5.30pm-6pm, Madeley High School Main Hall, for the chance to hear about and discuss what we do and how we do it. As a volunteer run club we are proud to provide volleyball to over 200 young people and take as much satisfaction from young people going on to become coaches and referees, as those who join our Social sessions purely for fun, as those now playing professionally overseas and representing England internationally.

Meet the Trustees and staff, ask basic questions, learn about the club's philosophy for supporting young people, understand where your financial contribution goes etc etc...

Chairs' Welcome

Newcastle Staffs. Volleyball Club was created in 1980 by a group of local enthusiasts who wanted to grow the sport for young people having established strong junior programmes in a number of local schools. By the mid '80s we were at the top-table of the sport in England thanks to the hard work and ability of local people from our town - and we have retained our status of one of the nation's top clubs since then.

In 2016 I was elected as chair by the trustees that make up the board of our charity. Having attended my first match as a small baby and grown up on the side of the court I have the club at heart and hope that anyone who comes into contact with the sport through our club will fall in love with the sport as I did.

As someone born and raised in Stoke-on-Trent and now living in Newcastle-under-Lyme I am really proud of our club. We epitomise the very best characteristics of the area - the creativity of the world famous Potteries, and the hard work and grit of our mining heritage are shown by our teams and celebrated by the club.

We welcome anyone and everyone, we are a charity that aims to use the sport to raise aspirations and help young people to achieve their potential through the wonderful sport of volleyball. Through the club you can access all three forms of the sport within Newcastle-under-Lyme - Volleyball, Beach Volleyball and Sitting Volleyball... and you can do so socially and competitively.

It's your call, just get in touch and we'll ensure you find the right experience for you.
